Partners at the Fair
Fan Fair for Couples
The unique aspects of Fantasia Fair - its length and breadth, encompassing
all things "T" from the serious to the
frivolous, and its charmed setting - make
it a great event to attend as a couple.
You can use the Fair to work on your relationship, or just enjoy it in the relaxed anything-goes atmosphere of Provincetown. Imagine strolling about town or out on the beach hand-in-hand with your partner. From the natives, you'll likely encounter friendly welcomes or benign indifference; and you'll find the tourists on their best behavior.
Partners (otherwise known as Significant Others, or SOs) are free to
participate in the Fair to whatever degree they wish, guided by their own level
of comfort and interest. (Some partners become very involved, and have
leading roles in Fair activities.) If a partner has an interest in learning and
sharing ideas about the T experience, she or he will be welcome at all the usual
sessions and talks; plus, the Fair has sessions specifically for couples, led by
expert and empathetic
professionals. Please look at the schedule for this year to see the abundance of
daily workshops and seminars, several of which are limited to partners of T-gals.
And, any SO who can put up with mass quantities of public praise and affection is encouraged to take the stage in the FanFair Follies, before the warmest and most appreciative audience this side of a grade-school pageant.
Most importantly, the friendly environment of Provincetown and the shared meals and activities of the Fair give you lots of time to meet other couples and individuals in T-partnered relationships, to share stories and insights, to become part of a community.
To encourage couples to come to FanFair, there is a generous discount for SO registration. The Fair organizers have long understood the value of the Fair to couples, and how much the presence of partners adds to the Fair.
We have now created a discussion list restricted to partners of Fair attendees and prospective Fair attendees. This is where you can go to get your questions answered, share your feelings and anxieties, keep contacts with friends, and find out everything you need to know. Please write to
