Come join us in Provincetown,
October 15 through October 22, 2017

Fantasia Fair is a week-long transgender event held every October in the LGBT resort town of Provincetown, Massachusetts. Part conference, part social gathering, the Fair is a “full immersion” experience, meaning that attendees can and usually do spend an entire week 24/7 presenting their gender as they wish.

Started in 1975, “Fan Fair” is the oldest and longest-running event of it's kind. Every year the Fair grows in its scope, character, and assistance to the gender explorer. Fantasia Fair continues to be the leading annual program promoting a gender-variant individual's ability to thrive in real-life situations.

Each and every day of the Fair offers activities and events to help you and entertain you. There are workshops in the morning and afternoon, a Keynote speaker following lunch, and special events each evening. You'll learn from community leaders, helping professionals, and your peers in formal and informal situations. You will be fascinated by the topics, which range from gender theory to hair removal to wig care to speaking in a feminine voice... Couples find support, friendship and caring, and enjoy the opportunity to participate in workshops that explore and recognize the ups and downs of a relationship with a transgender partner.

In addition to lunches that are provided each day in some of Cape Cod's best restaurants, there are two formal banquets, a fashion show, a cabaret/talent show, receptions and special events — all to entertain you while helping to develop the whole individual.

Fantasia Fair is unique amongst transgender events as it takes place in beautiful Provincetown - a wonderfully accepting community where anyone can mingle in the streets in friendship, safety, and acceptance. Yes, you really are welcome and free in all of Provincetown, and, yes, you will make friends at Fantasia Fair that you will keep forever.

A Fantasia Fair Special Presentation

A Self-Made Man Fantasia Fair 43 is proud to invite you to join us on Thursday, October 19th at 8:00 pm for a very special cinematic presentation: "A Self-Made Man." The film tells the personal story and important life work of Tony Ferraiolo, a transgender youth advocate. Following the film there will be a special Q&A session with the star of the film, Tony Ferraiolo.

The Fair is especially proud to present Tony's story because of his history with Fantasia Fair. Tony was an early recipient of a scholarship to Fantasia Fair. Tony often credits his experience at the Fair as having a significant influence on his life. "It is because of Fantasia Fair that I am the man I am today" commented Tony in a recent interview. Tony is so appreciative of the help provided him through his scholarship to Fantasia Fair, he is using this event to raise money for the Fantasia Fair Scholarship Fund.  The evening of the film's showing, Tony will be in-house to sign his new book and he will be donating a portion of every book sold to the scholarships fund.

A Self-Made Man has garnered rave reviews from across the United States and the world filming in both Copenhagen and Paris including awards from the Amsterdam Film Festival, Kent Film Festival, SENE Film, Music and Arts Festival, and NYC Short Film Festival. It has been featured in numerous outlets including The Huffington Post, IndieWire, The Lancet, and The New Haven Register.
